Pepe’s Tamales Menu effective as of June 1, 2009
Pepe’s Tamales come in four varieties to satisfy any appetite:
Red Chile Pork (mild red chile)
Green Chile Chicken (spicy green chile made with jalapeno peppers)
Green Chile Cheese (mild green chile made with muenster cheese)
Sweet Tamales (dessert tamal made with raisins, anise and coconut)
Sold by the dozen, half dozen, and individual.
Tamales are made fresh daily and are available seven days a week.
On Saturdays and Sundays Pepe’s Tamales also offers the following Mexican food delicacies:
Menudo: Red chile stew (soup) made with whole hominy kernels and tripe (beef), seasoned with oregano, diced onions, crushed red peppers and limes.
Sold by the quart, and pint.
Traditionally, Menudo is eaten with Mexican bread known as francesitos or bolillos.
Barbacoa: Shredded beef, served with warm corn tortillas, diced onions, cilantro and chile de arbol.
Sold by the pound, and half pound.
Champurrado: Hot Mexican drink made with cornmeal, piloncillo (hardened brown sugar), cinnamon, chocolate and sugar.
Sold by the quart, and pint.
